Wicks & Whiskers is a unique establishment that functions as both a custom candle-making bar and a kitten rescue. Located in Charlotte, NC, it offers guests an engaging experience where they can design their own signature-scented candles using phthalate-free fragrance oils and all-natural soy wax. The “whiskers” part of the name refers to its partnership with the non-profit Killer Kitties Rescue. While their candles are cooling, guests can interact with a room full of playful, adoptable foster kittens in the “kitten klubhouse”. This innovative model facilitates cat adoptions by providing a fun, relaxed environment for potential adopters to meet the animals, making it a place where patrons can leave with both a handmade candle and a new pet.
