Novelty House Rooftop and Havana Smoke & Reserve Social Club

Novelty House Rooftop is an upscale, open-air cocktail bar located on the fifth floor of the Binaco Tower in Charlotte’s vibrant 5th Street District. Known as one of the city’s most “Instagrammable” destinations, the venue features a signature rotating floral theme and a dedicated “Wish You Were Here” floral wall. The terrace is heavily decorated with seasonal flowers and offers views of the Uptown Charlotte skyline and the city’s largest mural by artist Alex Duncan. The bar specializes in craft cocktails, including the signature “Higher Love” (a watermelon Red Bull-infused mojito), as well as champagne, local beers, and seltzers. Live DJs perform most evenings, primarily playing house and R&B music. Novelty House is primarily a cocktail bar and does not serve a regular food menu. Visitors are encouraged to dine at nearby restaurants before arriving. There is a strict smart casual dress code. Prohibited items include athletic shorts, sweatpants, slides, and baggy clothing. The bar is 21+ only and does not allow pets. It is situated directly above Havana Smoke and Reserve, an upscale cigar lounge on the fourth floor.
