Petty Thieves Brewing Co. is a hidden gem located at 413 Dalton Avenue in the North End district of Charlotte, near Camp North End. Since opening in 2020, it has gained a cult following for its eclectic, “moody-maximalist” atmosphere and exceptional view of the Uptown skyline. Stepping inside feels like entering a secret society or a vintage library. The interior is filled with mismatched antique furniture, dark wood, curiosities, and a “secret” bookshelf door. It offers a cozy, intimate alternative to the typical industrial taproom. The brewery specializes in a wide range of styles, from traditional European lagers to experimental ales. Popular pours include the “Cloud of Unknowing” Hazy IPA, “The Great Pretender” Kölsch, and various rotating saisons and stouts. One of its most famous features is the large outdoor patio and “The Hill,” providing one of the best unobstructed views of the Charlotte skyline, making it a premier sunset destination. The space is both dog-friendly and family-friendly, hosting unique events like “Records and Rarities” vinyl nights, local art markets, and food truck residencies.
