Located in Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood neighborhood, Supperland is an upscale Southern steakhouse housed in a beautifully restored mid-century church. The restaurant’s “Southern steakhouse meets church potluck” concept draws inspiration from nostalgic communal gatherings, featuring family-style service and a wood-fired kitchen. Guests dine under vaulted ceilings with open rafters, sitting in restored pews on original hardwood floors that still feature a visible “center aisle. A massive 14-foot grill fueled by hickory and oak is used to cook prime steaks, fresh seafood, and signature items like Wagyu Pot Roast and Pork Can Can. The whimsical menus are reimagined Southern staples include Miso Mac & Cheese, sausage gravy croquettes, and charred carrots with spicy sorghum glaze. The space consists of the “land”, which includes the main sanctuary dining room, a separate Bar at Supperland, a southern garden, and a subterranean Speakeasy offering coursed cocktail pairings. Recognized in the MICHELIN Guide, Supperland is often noted for its high-energy atmosphere and is considered a top destination for special occasions.
