Divine Barrel Brewing, located at 3701 N. Davidson St. in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood, is an award-winning craft brewery that opened in 2018. Known for its “wildly distinctive” approach, the brewery specializes in a diverse range of styles, from traditional lagers to experimental wood-aged sours. They are celebrated for their Wood-Aged Sours and the popular “Ice Cream Social” fruited Berliner Weisse series. The 25-tap system also features heavily hopped West Coast and Hazy IPAs, as well as classic European styles like the Czech-style Pilsner. The brewery has gained national recognition, including a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival for its “The Big Oh” (a dry-hopped Berliner Weisse with citrus). The 3,000-square-foot taproom offers an “industrial-modern” aesthetic with high ceilings, warm wood accents, and an open view of the production facility. It is a community-centric space that is both family-friendly and dog-friendly. The venue hosts a rotating lineup of local food trucks and regular events like Trivia Tuesdays, vinyl nights, and run clubs.
